Thousands of dead fish reported at mouth of Mississippi

By France 24

AFP – Thousands of fish have turned up dead at the mouth of Mississippi River, prompting authorities to check whether oil was the cause of mass death, local media reports said Monday. The fish were found Sunday floating on the surface of the water and collected in booms that had been deployed to contain oil that leaked from the BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the Times-Picayune reported.

“By our estimates there were thousands, and I’m talking about 5,000 to 15,000 dead fish,” St Bernard Parish President Craig Taffaro was quoted as saying in a statement. He said crabs, sting rays, eel, drum, speckled trout and red fish were among the species that turned up dead.

Taffaro said there was some recoverable oil in the area, and officials from the state’s wildlife and fisheries division were sampling the water.

But he added, “We don’t want to jump to any conclusions because we’ve had some oxygen issues by the Bayou La Loutre Dam from time to time.”

How much hot water can government “authority” blow?

I’d say They’re in hot water as well, and they’re not going to get out of it with their diversions. How many fish kills have been due to high water temperatures in the past? Here’s the equation… Oil geyser + Corexit = water temps go up = everything chokes and dies. Responsible parties = BP, & U.S. Government and Agencies in charge (O.K., Purposefully Manufactured Incompetence and Criminally Complicit).

Practically any high school biology student could go out and test the water and provide an answer for the fish kill with a very high probability of occurrence. Of course, that would incriminate the insane outlaws.

    • snakes. like we don’t know they’re killing the Gulf

how the US government doesn’t see the use of Corexit as an attack on the US is beyond me.

You know the answer Rady…THEY have condoned it, O.K.’d, have and are allowing it, and someone, SOMEONE is making money off of it whether it be kickbacks, payoffs, stock, cash, political favors, whatever. Thad Allen is sitting in the Cat Bird seat, and is chain-of-command responsible for this crime. The DOD, NOAA, and other Agencies are also responsible for protecting U.S. resources, environment, and people. Right on up to and through Congress to Obama. Pressing charges and getting accountability seems to be the issue. The American people are going to have to look at themselves, or outside or above their own corrupt government for redress. Do you see any other options?

    • I think there’s more than a profit motive involved. They’re waging war on us by destroying the Gulf of Mexico.

This morning’s news in Ft Lauderdale warned everyone not to go in the water because the rain stirred up bacteria. Now, the reason given is nonsensical, but it is no doubt real that we should not go in the water.

      They’re waging war on us.

Here is an brand new report of Corexit spraying in the Gulf with a powder form. Obama — How shall we judge your inaction?
