The Progressive Mind website shutting down

By Mike Zimmer
The Progressive Mind

Colleagues in arms,

I have published the aggregation site, The Progressive Mind for six years and I need a break. I will stop posting on the site sometime on December 24, 2010.

Regular readers, and visitors, thanks for your patronage.

Regular contributors, thanks for giving me your pieces to publish.

If you are in need of a fix for alternative views on the world, I recommend that you go to COTO Report, at and also Food Freedom, at

My colleague Peter Ewart publishes nice pieces on politics in British Columbia, at

My colleagues Jack Etkin and Steve Poole do some great interviews on political topics on the cable show “Face to Face”, and these are available at

My pseudonymous colleague CasaZaza has a blog at

My colleague Jeff Jacobucci at 911 News Central has started a blog devoted to deep politics and the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, at

I have renewed the domain for another year, in order to maintain control over the “brand.”

It is possible I may resurrect the blog if my fingers get too itchy, but I need to devote more time to other aspects of my life.

  1. Mike, Thank you for all your work in getting out the word.

Thank you especially for promoting the work at Food Freedom and COTO Report. That support motivated me to keep working, even when readership was low. Thanks for all the news tips, too!

I wish you and yours the best and hope you will drop in from time to time.

  2. Thanks Rady,

There are many good blogs out there now. COTO report and Food Freedom are probably closest to mine in spirit, so keep up the good work.
