Obama mystery speech at 10:30 p.m.!

By Philly.com

In a development that — at least right now — seems truly bizarre, the White House announced at roughly 9:45 p.m. that President Obama would be giving a nationally televised speech at 10:30 — and they didn’t say what it would be about.

UPDATE: It’s on National Security.

As Donald Trump would say, what the (bleep)?

Needless to say, the Twittersphere is going nuts over this sudden turn of events — many noting the rich irony that Obama’s speech would pre-empt the last half hour of Trump’s NBC show. “The Celebrity Apprentice.” Of course, the jokes will die down quickly if and when the subject matter turns serious. Libya, perhaps?

Stay tuned.

  1. omg, do you know what that idiot Geraldo just speculated?

that obama would announce the death and/or capture of Osama bin Laden

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

    • Geraldo has to be right every once in awhile…….but the whole thing seems quite odd.

      • osama bin dead for years. the lifespan of someone on dialysis is 7 years, and he was getting dialysis back in 2000.

these nuts in charge are friggin STUPID

        • So….did they decide to thaw him out?

Obama’s speech was well written, but moved me not at all. Osama didn’t matter yesterday, and today he’s just a PR event. Was the White House trying to upstage the royals? or just give the hoi polloi a thrill?
