Hillary Clinton: “We Created Al Qaeda”

The Protagonists of the “Global War on Terrorism” are the Terrorists

By Prof Michel Chossudovsky
Global Research

The following video features Hillary Clinton candidly acknowledging that America created and funded Al Qaeda as a terrorist organization in the heyday of the Soviet-Afghan war.

What she does not mention is that at no time in the course of the last 30 years has the US ceased to support and finance Al Qaeda as a means to destabilizing sovereign countries.

Liar’s Poker – Obama and Cameron on Syrian WMD

Michael Collins
Photobucket(Washington, DC, 12/9)  Here we go again.

On, December 3, President Barack Obama warned the Syrian government against using chemical weapons against, among others, NATO-Saudi sponsored fighters trying to overthrow President Bashar Assad.

A few days later, British Prime Minister David Cameron’s foreign secretary claimed that he had evidence the Syrian government plans to use chemical weapons of mass destruction (WMD) against the rebels.

After Obama’s December 3 warning, Syria denied any intent to use the weapons “no matter what the circumstances” as they had after an earlier Obama warning.

U.S. and British government officials are unreliable sources on this subject.

Does the government of President Bashar Assad intend to use chemical WMD? Continue reading

Al-Qaeda manipulated the US into putting sanctions on Yemen

RT interviews Susan Lindauer (see video here).

The US is moving to place sanctions on anyone who opposes what Washington calls a democratic process in Yemen. Anti-war activist Susan Lindauer says this brings the US right into Al-Qaeda’s trap.

Yemen is fighting an alleged Al-Qaeda insurgency with military support from the United States. On top of this, the Arab state continues to suffer from months of political unrest, with anti-government protesters demanding more reforms.

US & Gullible Americans Celebrate Apparent Fortunes of Al Qaeda in Libya

By Tony Cartalucci

At face value, the tenuous narrative of a struggling, desperate NATO confounded by months of fierce resistance on all fronts and an increasingly brutal and transparently atrocious proxy army on the ground in Libya, suddenly wringing victory from what was essentially a catastrophic failure, is difficult to believe. This, especially as NATO desperately needs to turn its full attention toward Syria as the window of its imperial ambitions quickly closes forever. Already, claims that Muammar Qaddafi’s son Saif al-Islam had been captured have turned out to be admittedly false, Reuters finally admits [1], even after an elaborate tale had already begun spreading through the biased, irresponsible corporate-driven Western media.

Photo: It’s all smiles and laughs in Tripoli as McCain, a chief proponent and driving force behind the US intervention in Libya, literally glorifies Al Qaeda’s exploits in the now ruined nation. Miles away, the very rebels he was praising were purposefully starving the civilian population of Sirte in an effort to break their will, while they and NATO indiscriminately used heavy weapons aimed at crowded city centers.

Libyan Rebel Army Led by Rehabilitated al Qaeda Linked Terrorists

By Michael Collins

Monday was the day we heard that the “US believes al-Qa’ida is on the verge of defeat after deputy leader’s death” as The Independent headlined the story. It stood out as a sequel to the recent United States action in Pakistan, which brought us the news (but not the body) of a dead Osama bin Laden. It appears that a US operated drone killed Al Qaeda’s top deputy, one Atiyah Abd al-Rahman, a Libyan citizen. After decades as a jihadist, Rahman is no more. But is that the end of al Qaeda?

On Tuesday, foreign affairs columnist for the Asia Times, Pepe Escobar, published a remarkable column outlining the command structure of the victorious NATO backed military leaders. Abdelhakim Belhaj, the lead commander of the rebels, and the two top regional commanders were once affiliated with the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LGIF). In fact, commander Belhaj was once the subject of a US led extraordinary rendition (aka torture) in Thailand. About the time the US planned to send Belhaj to Guantanamo Bay, the Gaddafi’s government requested his return to Libya.

Sarkozy honors French Foreign Legion with Order of Merit of Al-Qaeda medal

Satire by InfoWars Ireland

President Nicolas Sarkozy of France has bestowed a new Honor upon the famed parachute regiment 2eme Rep of the French Foreign Legion.

Legionnaires from the elite outfit have been busy lately helping Al Qaeda in the western mountains of Libya, and more recently involved in the NATO special forces storming of Tripoli, where NATO warplane bombardment, along with special forces from the US Military, British SAS and a few other puppet Arab States like Qatar stormed into the capital Tripoli and terrified the inhabitants.

NATO SLAUGHTER IN TRIPOLI: Operation Mermaid Dawn

Signals Assault by Rebels’ Al Qaeda Death Squads

By Thierry Meyssan Global Research Tripoli, Libya, Aug. 22, 2011, 1 AM CET– On Saturday evening, at 8pm, when the hour of Iftar marked the breaking of the Ramadan fast, the NATO command launched its “Operation Mermaid Dawn” against Libya. The Sirens were the loudspeakers of the mosques, which were used to launch Al Qaeda’s call to revolt against the Qaddafi government. Immediately the sleeper cells of the Benghazi rebels went into action. These were small groups with great mobility, which carried out multiple attacks. The overnight fighting caused 350 deaths and 3,000 wounded. Continue reading

Not So Fast, Mr. President: How Obama Got It (All) Wrong in Libya and How to Fix It

By Susan Lindauer
Former U.S. Asset covering Libya at the United Nations during the Lockerbie negotiations

See New Videos of War Crimes and Victims Families on www.obamaslibya.com

In the U.S. battle with Libya, Americans are witnessing the consequence of gutting U.S. Intelligence during the Iraqi War, when President Bush drove out CIA officers and Assets who criticized his War policy.  In my case, I got slapped with the Patriot Act and thrown in prison on a Texas Military Base, while Republican leaders reinvented the entire story of my work on 9/11 and Iraqi Pre-War Intelligence. It was not pretty.

The consequences for intelligence gathering and policymaking are not pretty, either.  Last week President Obama demonstrated the most stunning ignorance by declaring that Libya—of all countries— has some link to terrorism. Obama was trying to justify NATO’s War against Gadhaffi’s government. However his argument exposed whopping gaps in the intelligence base from which his Administration has been drawing.

This time it’s not Obama’s fault. When Assets got forced out by Bush and Cheney, a lot of deep knowledge got shoved out the door with us.

Interview with Osama bin Laden: Denies his Involvement in 9/11

Full text of Pakistani paper’s Sept 29, 2001 “exclusive” interview

By Daily Ummat in Urdu
(Translation into English by BBC Worldwide Monitoring September 29, 2001
Global Research Editor’s Note:

We bring to the attention of our readers the following text of Osama bin Laden’s interview with Ummat, a Pakistani daily, published in Karachi on September 28, 2001. It was translated into English by the BBC World Monitoring Service and made public on September 29, 2001.

The authenticity of this interview, which is available in recognized electronic news archives, is confirmed. Osama bin Laden categorically denies his involvement in the 9/11 attacks. Bin Laden’s statements in this interview are markedly different from those made in the alleged Osama video tapes.

In this interview, Osama bin Laden exhibits an understanding of US foreign policy. He expresses his views regarding the loss of life on 9/11. He also makes statements as to who, in his opinion, might be the likely perpetrator of the September 11 attacks.

This is an important text which has not been brought to the attention of Western public opinion.
